Welcome to Jenn Ashton!
St. James’ is very pleased to announce our new diaconal postulant, Jenn Ashton: an historian, writer, and artist from Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation. She will be doing her internship with us over the next few months. Meet Jenn by watching her introductory video here (2:40).
Jenn’s engagement with the parish will be entirely online. We encourage members of the parish to take a moment to welcome her by attending the Liturgy at Home on Sunday mornings or reaching out via email at [email protected]. Jenn will also be offering a formation class in the fall, so stay tuned for those details to come.
Jenn’s home parish is St. Clement’s in Lynn Valley, where she serves as Indigenous Cultural Sensitivity Leader. Learn more about that by clicking here, and browse the useful resources she has linked there. Her own website is jenniferashton.ca. Some recent projects are also listed below.
