Join us at St. James’ as we gather for the beloved A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, to sing and hear again the story of God’s love for us and for all creation revealed in Jesus Christ.

Dean Eric Milner-White revived the concept of A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College, Cambridge on Christmas Eve 1918. He wanted the service to be a ‘feast of colour, beauty, warmth and simplicity that would appeal to a grieving generation disillusioned with faith and hardened by war.’  (Alexandra Coghlan) All are welcome!
