IMPORTANT DIRECTIVE FROM ARCHBISHOP MELISSA SKELTON
Our Archbishop has responded thoughtfully and carefully to the latest COVID-19 related updates from the Prime Minister and the BC Health Minister. As a result, all “in person” worship (both Sunday and weekday) is suspended throughout the Diocese from tomorrow until Sunday, May 3rd. All church meetings, social events, study groups and other programs are also suspended for the same period of time.
It is a sad but necessary decision. We need to be vigilant about protecting both our fellow parishioners and our local community.
We will be creative about finding ways of maintaining community in our necessary distancing. The virus cannot prevent us from praying, reading, studying, and communicating online.
May God’s peace hold us in the midst of the fears that swirl around our world and in our hearts. May we all find comfort in the knowledge that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:38-39)
With God’s blessing,
Father Neil
