Clergy Notes — November 1, 2026

The Order of the Diocese of New Westminster serves to recognize and honour lay members of the diocese who have distinguished themselves in living out their baptismal identity and purpose in an exemplary way over a substantial period through service within their churches, in their broader communities, and in the diocese. St. James’ can nominate one person every even-numbered calendar year, and the parish’s nominee for 2026 is Reece Wrightman.

As many of you know, Reece is often the first person most people see when they enter St. James’. But in addition to faithfully serving as the Narthex Guild’s leader and primary member for many years, Reece has also served the parish as Treasurer, Warden, Rector’s Warden (and then Bishop’s Warden), as well as many, many other behind-the-scenes roles. We are so very blessed to have Reece amongst us, and we give thanks for his ministry and presence.

The Investiture Service will take place on November 7. Congratulations Reece, and thank you for your faithfulness and your love of St. James’!
